| I have just returned from a visit to Hands of Compassion, and was reflecting on the eleven years since the beginning of our school. It has been an amazing journey. As I waved goodbye to both the people in the community and to the children and staff at our school, I see that they have no idea where their next meal will come from, no money to pay for medication if their child is sick, the rains may come through the roof of their home, yet they believe that God is a God of love, He is faithful and they trust that He will protect them, just as He promised...... |

May 2011 In our last newsletter we talked about Crispin who is in Grade 7 class, and the very difficult home situation he is living in. Sadly his grandfather left the home a few months ago and is not returning, leaving the elderly grandmother on her own to care for Crispin. When I first went to Crispin’s home in January, I was quite shocked to see the bad state it was in, and the lack of food they had. Now it seems to be a desperately sad situation......

How is Crispin going to survive? Crispin, one of our Grade Seven pupils has been coming to Hands of Compassion School for four years. He is 15 years old, having lost both parents, father died when he was a baby, and his mother passed away when he was 6 years old. Both his sisters have also died.........
